Con Pilas: Daisy and Dora
Latinas in the news today: Daisy Fuentes and Dora Links, the newly Electronic Exploradora.

First, Daisy, the busiest Latina we know. American Latino TV and LatiNation announced today that Fuentes will host and co-executive produce American Latino, which debuts the new season this weekend, Oct. 3 and 4.
The programs have been upgraded, with new sets, graphics and a multi-camera looks, said David Morales, LATV vice president and executive producer. Both shows are targeted to the English speaking U.S.-born Hispanic market. (Hey, just like Tiki Tiki!) Also, look for new segments on LatiNation such as “Represent!” which focuses on individuals who show outstanding leadership and “Make it Happen” which offers viewers tips on a variety of subjects, from make-up to finances.
American Latino, in its 8th season, will show in 106 television markets and LatiNation will show in 92 markets, according to a company release. Click here and here to check for city locations.
And, here she is: Dora Links. After months of talk, barbs, slams and hope, Mattel unveils the computer-compatible, USB-ready doll for older chicas.
From the company announcement this morning:
“Dora and her four best friends — Naiya, Emma, Kate and Alana — live in the robust online world of Puerto Verde, a fictional beachside city, where the girls go to school, get involved in their community, help friends, and work together to keep their home clean and green.”
The Dora Links site and the full release on the doll. The retail cost is about $59.99.
She’s monisima.
Un poquito mas:

Of course, she’s monisima. It looks like they used your Maria as a model. =D
She’s so cute! Looks like I’ll be shelling out $59.99 this Christmas.
