Contribute to the Tiki Tiki
Gracias for visiting the Tiki Tiki. We have created a warm community for Latinas — and people who love them — and provided many opportunities to connect.
Would you like to contribute essays, photos and videos to Tiki Tiki so we can share experiences of living Latino in the United States? There are so many good stories to tell. You can find details on our contributors page and you can read the Tiki Tiki’s first contributed essay by Laura Feo-Fernandez here. And, our first video essay is here.
To make connection easy, we have created groups on Flickr, YouTube and a Facebook fan page so we can see and hear each other. We also have a Twitter page to tweet the daily happenings. You can learn more about this easy and fabulous approach to connecting on our “Contribute to the Tiki Tiki” page.
We know there is a lot of content on the Tiki Tiki, so here’s a tour of your new rinconcito:
The “headline” is where you can start your visit, for it is the story of the day that we are spotlighting — be it an essay, a video or a photo. The scrolling “featured” section in the top right is the spot for the best of the week and perhaps most importantly, the contests we are running on Tiki Tiki. So make the “featured” a definite stop. As a matter of fact, we’ve got a great Latino Books giveaway going on now.
On the Tiki Tiki you’ll get essays, recipes, contests, giveaways, photos, videos and a special feature we call “del alma,” which is your daily dose of inspiration. More on the About page. You also can click on any of the five colored category bars and you will be taken to items posted under that subject. We are working on our editorial calendar to define specific days of the week when content by subject will be posted, so keep a look out for that. Our blogroll is in the top navigation bar and we will continually add great Latino blogs to it.

The point is you will see yourself reflected on Tiki Tiki. It is yours as much as it is ours.
So, once again, thank you for joining us here. Your feedback and suggestions are welcome.

¡Que idea más fantástica! I love this idea! As I get older I’m beginning to appreciate and treasure all things “Cuban”. I did not grow up in Cuba as my Dad was in the Cuban diplomatic service and we lived mostly in the “states”. A lot of the things Marta talks about bring back so many memories of when I was little and visited my aunts and grandmother in Cuba. I wish you great success with this and look forward to visiting every day.
