I couldn’t get my sweet hijo to fall asleep when he was a baby. We were at my mom’s house one afternoon, and she put on her Sosa CD. This song lulled him to sleep and became our little lullaby for many, many months.

Esta canción es inolvidable así como Mercedes Sosa. Tengo muchas de ella en mi ipod, entre ellas: Duerme Negrito y Alfonsina y el Mar. A raiz de su muerte me di cuenta que ella casi no componía pero daba a conocer las canciones de Silvio o de otros como Facundo Cabral, la verdad su interpretación las hace inolvidables. Vivirá por siempre!

I hadn’t heard this until just now. The world is a sadder place for her passing and heaven a happier place for her presence. I am grateful for her vida y canto. I am grateful for all life.
