My girl loves to play on my computer. Sometimes, I think she enjoys the ritual of opening it, and banging on the keyboard like Mami does, as much as she likes the online experience.
Here’s a fun new educational toy from the new company, Ingenio, that allows a little hunting and pecking on the keys and a lot of learning potential.
“My First Notebook” has eight learning activities in Spanish and English and teaches things such as shapes, numbers and colors. It won the Creative Child Magazine Top Toy of the Year Award. Retail cost, $17.99
The Atlanta-based company, whose name means “ingenious” has created a variety of alphabet puzzles, crossword blocks, spelling games, math puzzles, and more. Eight of the toys and games are less than $12.99 suggested retail and six have won merit awards from Creative Child Magazine & Dr. Toy.
Rules: Visit Ingenio and look around, then come back and tell us what you liked best. If you are Fan at their Facebook Fan Page you get extra credit and you’ll receive future updates and offers.
Contest closes Tuesday, Sept. 22. One entry per person. You must live in the United States or Canada. Winner will be chosen at random and has five days to respond, or be disqualified. The prize will be shipped by Ingenio and the Tiki Tiki is not responsible for the item or delays.
We’ll have one more Ingenio giveaway this month, so be sure to subscribe to our RSS feed or e-mail digest to receive the alerts. (Both options available via the “subscribe” link.)
