I usually use my dishes and silverware at parties, and eschew the paper stuff altogether. It gives me a chance to use all those wedding gifts and is as earth-friendly as it gets. My Cuban relatives think I'm weird, though ("Why didn't you buy plastic cups? Now you have to spend the night fregando!"). Hear, hear for that.
