Revisit El Plan

Submitted by Violeta on June 30, 2009 – 5:00 am2 Comments

pensativaJosé Martí (se dice) dijo “Hay tres cosas que cada persona debería hacer durante su vida: plantar un árbol, tener un hijo y escribir un libro.”  Plant a tree.  Become a parent.  Write a book.

I love this quote because, literally, I agree with it; I’ve done or am in the process of doing all three of these.  But more than that, I love that this quote reminds us that our life, our time here, should serve the earth, our family, and our society.

Today, take a look at your dreams and plans during a quiet moment, and pregúntate if they line up with making a difference  más allá de your own little patch of sunshine.  Remember to direct your tiempo, your cariño, and your energía outwards!
