I love merging the two cultures together. That's the beautiful thing about America. I loved growing up around to cultures. Your son will be privileged as a mac'n'cheese croquetta loving child. :)

Laura: I just listened to Alexis play Malagueña. ¡Qué emoción! My eyes teared up. I have never heard this piece played with such passion. His fingers were flying over the keyboard. He is one talented Cubano. I enjoyed reading your blog. I just discovered Tiki Tiki from Martha's MBFCF. I am going back on Youtube and listen to more of your husband's performances.

I can totally relate Laura. My husband is a gringo and I am a Cubanaza. He loves my "Cubanisms" (which I inherit because I am second generation Cuban-American) and continues to want to learn more and more about Cuba. (He probably knows more than I do as a matter of fact!) I am super excited to raise a child one day. There isn't anything not to love, and I am not being biased. I would think you would agree! It's a beautiful blend. :)
